A Motherโs Love: Honoring Our First Lady Mayor on the Last Day of Women’s Month
As the sun sets on March 31, we bid farewell not only to the last day of the month but also to the grand celebration of Women’s Month. And on this day, I find myself reflecting on the true embodiment of women empowerment, our very own Ina ng Carmona, our first lady mayor, Dr. Dahlia A. Loyola.
I am but an adopted citizen of this thriving city. Like many, I have found a home in Carmona, a place where dreams are nurtured, and hope flourishes. And at the heart of it all is a leader whose love for her people knows no boundaries. She is not just a mayor, she is a mother, a guiding force, a champion for all.
Her leadership is one that radiates inclusivity. Every sector of society, every unheard voice, every overlooked individual finds a place under the umbrella of her governance. She believes in the power of uplifting people, ensuring that no one is left behind because, for her, “Dapat Angat Lahat” is not just a slogan, it is a way of life.
Her programs are a testament to her unwavering commitment to the welfare of women and every citizen of Carmona. She has paved the way for accessible healthcare, education, livelihood, and safety programs that truly empower women, not just in words but in action. She has fought for the rights of every mother, daughter, sister, and young girl, making sure they stand on equal ground with endless opportunities ahead of them.
But more than the policies and programs, it is her heart that makes the biggest impact. She listens. She understands. She acts. Whether it’s through grand initiatives or the simplest acts of kindness, she carries the city with grace, strength, and an undeniable sense of responsibility, like a mother who tirelessly provides for her children, never asking for anything in return but always striving for their happiness and success.
So today, on this last day of Women’s Month, let us all take a moment to give love and appreciation to the woman who has dedicated herself to empowering not just the women of Carmona, but every single one of us. Let us celebrate her for the way she leads, for the way she cares, and for the way she continues to inspire us to be better, to dream bigger, and to rise together.
To our Ina ng Lungsod ng Carmona, our City Mayor, our Mother, our Champion, thank you. Your love and dedication have made Carmona not just a city, but a true home for all. Angat ka, dahil angat kaming lahat!
