Nurtured Hearts Hub 💚

In every journey, in every triumph, and even in moments of struggle, there is always a woman who stands as a guiding light, lifting us up, inspiring us, and showing us the true meaning of strength. This is why, when I was given the opportunity to serenade the amazing women in our community during the Sigasig ni Juana program, I knew I had to offer something heartfelt and meaningful.

What better way to express appreciation than through music? And so, I chose Dahil Sa’yo by Iñigo Pascual, an anthem of gratitude, love, and unwavering inspiration.

A Song That Speaks to the Heart of Every Juana

Originally, Dahil Sa’yo is a love song, a beautiful expression of how someone can be the reason behind courage, ambition, and happiness. But when you really listen to the lyrics, you realize that its message transcends romantic love, and it can also be a tribute to the people who empower us the most.

And so, for this performance, I made a simple yet meaningful change. Instead of singing sinta (a term of endearment), I replaced it with Juana, because truly, it is because of the Juanas in our lives that we find strength, motivation, and purpose.

“Dahil sa inyo, mga Juana, ako’y matapang. Dahil sa inyo, ako’y lalaban.”

This line alone captures everything I wanted to convey: that because of women, their sacrifices, their love, their wisdom, we become better, stronger individuals.

A Performance for All the Women of the Universe

I dedicated this song not just to the women in the room that evening but to all the women who have touched my life in one way or another.

🌸 To my mother – the first woman who ever loved me unconditionally and taught me the true meaning of perseverance and kindness.

🌸 To our honorable City Mayor of Carmona – a true symbol of leadership, intelligence, and empowerment, proving that women can lead with strength and compassion.

🌸 To my lady relatives and loved ones – who have always been there for me, shaping me into the person I am today.

🌸 To my amazing female friends – whose support, wisdom, and laughter make life so much brighter.

🌸 To every woman I have encountered in my journey – from teachers to colleagues, mentors to strangers whose kindness made an impact on my life, this performance was for you.

Women make the world a better place, and through this song, I simply wanted to say thank you.

A Special Shoutout to an Empowered Woman: Ms. Joy Barcoma

Of course, I cannot talk about that night without mentioning the incredible host of the evening, Ms. Joy. The way she handled the entire program with such confidence, grace, and charm was truly admirable. A host carries the energy of an event, and she did it effortlessly!

But I have to confess, she also made me blush! When she introduced me before my performance, her words had me smiling (and maybe turning a little red!). A powerful woman with such a warm presence, Ms. Joy, you are truly a gem!

More Than a Song, It’s a Celebration

That night was not just about singing; it was about celebrating the strength, resilience, and beauty of women. It was about recognizing their sacrifices, their dreams, and their invaluable contributions to our lives and society.

Through Dahil Sa’yo, I hoped to express that behind every success, behind every courageous step, there is a woman who has inspired it.

So, to all the women out there, this song was for you. This moment was for you. Because of you, we are braver. Because of you, we dare to dream. Because of you, we find meaning in life.
